Niloy Patari

About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering at West Virginia University. My research focuses on distributed optimization and control for power systems, cyber-physical energy systems, AI/ML-enabled grid operation, distributed energy resource coordination, and resilient architectures for modern electric grids.

My broader research interests include distributed optimization, voltage control in unbalanced distribution systems, grid-edge intelligence, peer-to-peer energy markets, human-in-the-loop cyber-power systems, and machine learning for power system operation and control.

My work integrates theoretical algorithm development with cyber-physical validation using hardware-in-the-loop platforms, communication-aware architectures, and real-time experimental testbeds.
